MAZIN JAMAL

CO-DIRECTOR & CO-FOUNDER, Embrace Community

Mazin Jamal is an entrepreneur, executive coach, community organizer, artist and student of knowledge in the Islamic Tradition, with a focus on economic justice, sufism (purification of the heart) and inter-faith dialogue.  He is the founder of Holistic Underground: a fiscal sponsorship and capacity building agency supporting visionary people and projects around the world. As the Co-Director at Embrace  he leads strategy, fundraising and operations.

Mazin is the father of Aaisha, husband of Désirée, son of Jamal and Najwa, and member of the Sudanese Diaspora.  From grassroots movements in Sudan, Ghana, Malaysia and across the US, to the board rooms of global non profits and fortune 500 companies, he has devotedly supported leaders and movements to sustain and scale their mission with integrity. In his spare time, enjoys power naps, cooking healthy meals, and playing music with his family and friends.

Lotus Wong is an Executive Leader, Creative Director and Brand Strategist with 15 years of experience guiding and gathering groups to grow, heal and transform together. With a passion for people, Lotus has worked in 35+ countries with a diverse portfolio of clients including Fortune 500 companies, educational and non-profit institutions to bring their boldest visions to life.

As the Co-Director of Embrace, Lotus leads all things brand, strategy, and programming. Beyond Embrace, Lotus is the CEO of Creative Muse Studios that specializes in personal branding. styling and design for soulpreneurs. She is also the creatrix behind the BIPOC Spiritual Innovation platform and short film “Lineages of Love & Liberation”. When Lotus isn’t sharing her gifts at work, she’s making art, deepening with loved ones and exploring the natural world.
