Our Ancestor’s Wildest Dreams | Event Logistics 5.26.24
Beloved Community,
Our Ancestor’s Wildest Dreams one day retreat is upon us and we look forward to welcoming you in the redwoods, this Sunday, May 26th from 10AM—5PM. Please arrive at 9:45am so you can walk to our location in the woods.
Together, we will gather in ritual and ceremony to honor our ancestors and tap into the places you may feel challenged, stuck, or are witnessing yourself repeating a pattern and you suspect it has to do with your ancestry or lineage. Ancestral constellations work can support people in accessing greater resilience, feeling more power in their bodies and leaving with a deeper sense of peace.
WHAT TO BRING
Come layered, it can get chilly in the trues.
Bring a blanket and a cushion or back jack as desired. If you have a camping chair, bring it. We will have some extra blankets and folding chairs.
Bring a power or brightening object that gives you strength that you’d like to add to the Ancestral Altar. Bring any other objects you’d like to honor your Ancestors.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING
The retreat will be off of Big Trees Trail in Joaquin Miller State Park, Oakland. Follow these instructions and you'll be GOOD. This is the forest! There isn’t always Google Maps reception in the forest, so we recommend you watch this video (it's from a previous Embrace event but still relevant) and save the instructions below so you have them even if you lose signal.
Park your car at "Redwood Glen Trailhead". Address: Big Trees Trail, Oakland, CA 94611
At the entrance, take the path to the right. Then, at the next fork with the outdoor bathroom, keep left. You'll be walking along "Big Trees Trail" for 5-7 minutes till you see/ hear/ feel us on your right hand side.
Look out for our signs, flowers and ribbons to point you in the right direction. We will have Guardians (King David and Jordon to help support with arrival)
Here's a map of the forest path from the parking area, and attached are some additional photos for the visuals!
If you need day of support finding the spot or need a ride, call King David 864-431-4297, Jordon 619-865-4118 or Lotus at 415-802-3393, reception is spotty.
RECIPROCITY: BIPOC partial scholarships available as well as work trade opportunities (help with setup or clean up). No one turned away for lack of funds. Email lotus@lotusawakens.co for scholarship and worktrade opportunities. We have 4 spots left. If you bring a guest, they can pay on-site.
